I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering Somatic Psychotherapy sessions for couples and individuals. I work with clients in my private practice in Rockridge, Oakland. I also teach Movement Therapy classes in various settings throughout the Bay Area.
I have a wide range of experience working with individual adults, couples, and groups in a private practice psychotherapy setting, community mental health clinics, and drug and alcohol addiction treatment facilities.
My education and training is focused on body-oriented therapies, individual and couples counseling, and dance and movement practices. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Somatics, from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Bachelors Degree from Wesleyan University. In addition, I train and practice in the work of Stanley Keleman in Formative Psychology, Mary Starks Whitehouse in Authentic Movement, and Rosangela Silvestre in the Silvestre Technique.
I am passionate about supporting and empowering others in their discovery, creativity, and growth. I have a deep love of learning which keeps my work constantly evolving. I am continually growing and developing myself in a wide variety of classes, workshops, and trainings.
